 Welcome to Solana Beach

Solana Beach is a quant coastal town in the Northern part of San Diego County, best known for its stunning views, local surf community, and wide range of available outdoor activities.  At only 3.5 square miles, Solana Beach is on the smaller side of typical California cities, but the town has a personality that speaks to a much larger geography.

Settled initially in the late 1800s, Solana Beach grew steadily throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, and is continuing its meteoric rise in popularity year over year.  From the storied Fletcher Cove Park to the Solana Beach Farmers Market, from the North Coast Repertory Theatre to the Carruth Cellars Urban Winery & Tasting Room, Solana Beach has something for everyone.

This is the time to lay claim to your piece of this inclusive little surfing town, and start reaping the benefits of Southern California coastal living!

Commutability

Solana Beach is located in between the I-5 freeway and Pacific Coast Highway.  The Amtrak Surfliner runs through the town, and Solana Beach station is a popular stop along the coastal track.

Solana can be considered a convenient halfway point between Downtown San Diego and Orange County, with an average of 35 minutes travel time to either location.

Because it is a beach city, there are more small sized roads than major thoroughfares.

What Residents Say...

"I love that my kids grew up surfing and swimming, and are beautifully connected to the ocean.  There's nothing better than being a couple of blocks from the Pacific.  We get to call some of the nicest beaches in California our 'backyard!'"

"Because of its geography, Solana Beach has remained a little haven for residents who know about the town, and appreciate it.  It is also a great city because everyone is so friendly."

"A slow-paced beach town, Solana Beach is full of athletes, entrepreneurs, and craftsmen.  With craft coffee shops, organic cafes, and microbreweries, the dining experience is nothing less than excellent."

"Solana Beach is a quaint community where everybody knows your name.  People are friendly and inclusive - we all support eachother."

"We have everything we could need right at our fingertips here.  Our favorite stores, great restaurants, and a fun nightlife.  We also love the easy access to the freeway, and that our town cannot get any bigger.  We've lived here for 28 years, and raised our two kids here.  'Blessed' doesn't even begin to describe it!"
